Obituary for William Franklin

Warner Robins, GA – Mr. William “Bill” Franklin, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center in Macon, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Mr. Franklin was born on April 29, 1943, in Madison, FL to the late Isaac and Annie (Brodus) Franklin. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army. After serving his country, Mr. Franklin went on to obtain his master’s degree in education. He worked as a physical education teacher and held various coaching positions. Mr. Franklin retired from the Rochester, NY school system, where he was known as a tremendous coach, leader, and mentor. He instilled in his kids the meaning of integrity and hard work. Mr. Franklin loved his family and will be dearly missed by so many.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Barbara Ann (Montgomery) Franklin; sons: Frederick Franklin, Roderick Franklin, and Ivan Franklin; daughter: Michelle Gainy.
