Macon, GA- Willie James Thorpe, Sr., 78, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. Services celebrating his life will be announced by his family.
Willie was born on November 1, 1941 in Vienna, GA to the late Johnnie and Cora Lee (Clark) Thorpe. Willie worked and retired from Mieneke Auto Repair Services. He could fix anything when came to an automobile. Willie was very skilled and talented mechanic. He enjoyed braking cars down and rebuilding, racing and anything else automobile related. He was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, GA and loved listening to gospel music. Willie was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Willie James Thorpe, Jr. (Carla) of Warner Robins, GA and Debra Thorpe of Macon, GA; 4 grandchildren: Jazz Thorpe, Summer Thorpe, Adrian Robinson and Ashley Robinson; 2 great-grandchildren: Ashton Carswell and Aiden Robinson; 3 brothers: Joe Lewis Thorpe, Nathaniel Thorpe and James Thorpe.
