Obituary for Wynelle Mildred "Nell or Ms. B" Bryant (McCook)
Fort Valley, GA – Wynelle (McCook) Bryant, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at her residence. The viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Mike Parker will be officiating the services. The family accepts flowers but ask that any donations please be made to The Bridge Church, 2758 US-41, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
Nell, or Ms. B as she was affectionately known was born on July 3, 1928, in Rentz, GA to the late Furman McCook and the late Addie (Mullis) Marchant. She and her late husband were owners of Ponderosa Campground until his death at which time Nell took full responsibility of the place, she called home. The Bryant’s made many lasting relationships as host at the Ponderosa. Nell was a charter member and faithful attendee of Rehoboth Baptist Church but most recently was a member of The Bridge Church. Nell was also known as “Ma” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she adored. In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Bryant and her daughter, Patsy Gillette.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Randy Bryant (Donna) of Fort Valley; grandchildren: James Alexander Pavlica (Patrick), Amy Hayes (David), and Brandon Bryant (Karma), Ericka Johnson (Wess), Andrea Wilkes (Steve), Jessica Phipps (Greg); great-grandchildren: Bryant and Jace Hayes, Addison and Grayson Bryant, Gabriel, Gideon and Uriah Johnson, Trace Wilkes, Rylee and Reece Phipps.
