Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Pollard can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

William “Bill” Harlan Pollard
Hawkinsville – William “Bill” Harlan Pollard, 85, entered into eternal rest, on Monday, January 23, 2017. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please contact allenpollard@cfl.rr.com for details.

Bill was born to the late Edgar and Annie Ruth Morgan Pollard on May 9, 1931 in Cherokee County, AL. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Lamar Pollard; his first wife Birdie Lee Snyder Pollard; and his 2nd wife Wilma Gayle Pelly Garrison Pollard. Bill served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1951-1971 and retired as a Tech. Sergeant, from Patrick Air Force Base. He then went on to work for the City of Cocoa Beach, FL from 1972-1981, when he moved to Hawkinsville, GA. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed gardening and watching sports. He played basketball and football for Cave Springs High School back in the day! Bill was a Mason. He enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his granddaughters most of all!

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving son, William Allen Pollard (Judy), Melbourne, FL; his granddaughters: Vivian Anne Pollard & Abagail Lee Pollard; his sister, Norma Faye Pollard, Cedar Town, GA; his extended family: Ray Pope,GA; Andrew Cantrell, Cordele, GA; Sandra Cantrell, Unadilla, GA; Allison & Drew Cantrell, Unadilla, GA.
