Warner Robins-Nestor Aaron Short, 21, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services celebrating Nestor’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 am in Burpee-Scott Chapel with interment following in Riverside Cemetery, Macon, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit, 1120 Morningside Dr. Perry, GA 31069.
Nestor was born on February 12, 1995 in Tijuana Mexico. He was preceded in death by his biological father Nestor Rocha. Nestor accomplished many things in his short life. He graduated from Fort Gordon Military School in 2012 as 3 of 240 cadets to graduate with a diploma, which he accomplished one year early. He worked several jobs where he was awarded employee of the year with Radio Shack in Nevada and was a 3 time employee of the month at Best- Buy in Warner Robins. He was also a former employee of Blue Bird, but his greatest dream was to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Nestor touched many lives and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Nestor leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved parents Michael and Aydee Robles Short; a sister: Isabella Short, Warner Robins; Maternal Grandmother: Carmen Rocha, Culiacan Mexico; Paternal Grandparents: Norman & Gloria Short, Macon; 13 cousins who are as close to him as any brother or sister could be and a host of aunts, uncles and extended family.
