Obituary for Alan Keith Miller

Warner Robins- Alan Keith Miller, 60, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday February 2, 2017 at Houston Medical Center. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in Burpee-Scott Chapel with interment following at 2:30 pm with full military honors in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday February 5, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Alan was born on May 17, 1956 to Gary Lew Miller and the late Beverly Joy Miller in Mid West City, Oklahoma. Alan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired with the rank of Major. He achieved many honors while serving his country and continued that service in civil service as a software engineer from which he retired at Robins Air Force Base. Alan served and worshipped his Lord at Southside Baptist Church. His greatest joy in life was his family, specifically his grandchildren whom he loved dearly and his husky, Alpine. While retired, Alan found enjoyment in researching and reading about civil war and world history. He also loved to travel.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Elaine Rowe Miller; 2 children: Kathryn Collier (Tracy) and Kevin Miller (Melissa); 3 grandchildren: Kimber and Kade Collier and Michael Miller; 2 sisters: Denise Miller and Pam Conley; 1 brother Jeff Miller.
