Warner Robins- Delores McCallum Britt, 78, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 26, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 3:00 pm in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Tim Childs will be officiating. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Warner Robins Church of Christ, 1947 Watson Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Delores was born on June 27, 1938 in Clinton, North Carolina to the late Daniel Eugene McCallum and Clyde McCallum Chapman. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, C. Earl Britt. She worked most of her adult life as an administrative assistant, about 10 years of which was with the Houston County Board of Education at Rumble Junior High School. Delores was very active in the community, most notably with the Warner Robins Recreation Department where she received the Volunteer Mom of the year award. She was a very active member of the Warner Robins Church of Christ, where she served in many areas, including the church food pantry which she truly enjoyed and loved. Delores loved everyone, especially her family, always putting others first.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters: Denise Britt Hill( Bill), Lindale, GA and Bridgett Britt Napier(Joe), Kathleen, GA; 7 grandchildren: Shawn Smith, Michelle Smith, Heather Hill McClain, Travis Hill, Jocelyn Napier Vance, Brittany Napier Adkison and Lanier Napier; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Jan Hamlin(Richard), Valdosta, GA and 2 nieces: Stephanie Weeks & Melanie Olds.
