Macon- Frederick Mark Mullis, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 am in The First Christian Church in Perry with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or to the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mark was born on December 1, 1969 to the late Fred Clayton and Yvonne Collins Mullis in Macon, GA. He was a graduate of Southwest High School. After graduation, Mark dedicated his life to law enforcement where he served with the Coffee County and Bibb County Sheriff’s Departments. He was currently employed with Georgia Department of Corrections. Mark was always giving and serving others, especially children. He was very involved with various children’s hospitals. He was a Shriner, Mason and a member of the Jaycees. He was a certified avid fisherman! Mark will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers: Clayton Mullis (Brandy) and Wallace Heath both of Perry; uncles and aunts: Shine (Margie), Jimmy (Rudene) and Phillip Collins all of Macon.
