Warner Robins – Adam David Gauthier, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Macon, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 12:00 pm in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel with burial following with full military honors at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
Adam was born in Limestone, ME to David and Jacquelyn “Lyn” Wiencek Gauthier on August 6, 1982. His family later was stationed in Warner Robins, which is where Adam became fascinated with the Warner Robins Demons and aspired to one day play for the Demons. Adam was a Class of 2000 graduate of Warner Robins, where he lettered in Football and soccer. Upon graduating Adam enlisted in the United States Army where he faithfully served until he was granted retirement. He was a true patriot who loved his country. Adam served tours in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he previously served in the family life center ministry.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his brother, James Gauthier (Kris) of Connecticut; sister, Nicole Wooten, Warner Robins; special niece, Katlynn Gauthier, Macon; 3 nephews; one niece; one great nephew; maternal grandmother, Mary Wiencek; his uncle, Rick Wiencek (Lita) and 2 cousins, his fiancé, Katie Lawson and ART.
