Obituary for Charles Richard "Chuck" Cox

Charles Richard "Chuck"  Cox
Elko- Charles Richard "Chuck" Cox graduated this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017, at 10am in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel, Hwy. 41N in Warner Robins with burial immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wilma Andrews and Dr. Charles Adams officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel.


Charles was born June 26, 1961, in Heidelberg, Germany to Woodrow Wilson and Helga (Saffran) Cox. Charles graduated from Southwest High School in 1979. Charles was the former owner of Houston Specialty Supply and spent the last years of his life as the Owner and Master Craftsman of Charlie Cox Construction.

Charles is survived by his parents, Woodrow and Helga Cox; two beloved sons, Broc (Brittany) Cox and Garrett (Nicole) Cox and step-daughter, Jenna Astin; grandchildren: Christian, Delaney Kate, Broxton, Brody, and Baylor; brothers: Thomas Cox of St. George, SC, and John (Dawn) Cox of Stockbridge, GA; sister: Karen (Barry) Helms of Eatonton, GA. He will also be missed by his loyal Black Labs, Spec and Gage.
