Obituary for David Otis Bennett

David Otis  Bennett
Warner Robins- David O. Bennett, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017 with his beloved family at his bedside. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 am in Burpee-Scott Chapel with visitation being held one hour prior and immediately following the service. The family has requested that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St. Macon, GA 31201.
David was born in Perry, GA on April 28, 1948 to the late Barney and Annie Ruth Smith Bennett. He was an avid outdoorsman, whether it is fishing his favorite fishing hole, camping with his family or riding his Harley, that’s where he found his greatest joy. David was a hardworking man and spent most of his career as a construction contractor. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bob” I. Bennett.
David is survived by his beloved siblings: Shirley Alexander (Johnny), Tifton, Richard Bennett, Warner Robins, Hazel Askew, Warner Robins, Kathy Hendrix, O’Fallon, IL, Bonnie Bellflower, Warner Robins and many nieces and nephews.
