Obituary for David Ealley Shelton

David Ealley  Shelton
Elko- David E. Shelton, 73, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. At the request of David’s family all services will be private.
David was born on January 3, 1944 in Hawkinsville, GA to the late Elmus and Jessie Bray Shelton. He was a very hard worker and provided well for his family. Jessie retired from Blue Bird, where he worked as a utility specialist. His greatest passions in life were camping and fishing, but his greatest joy came from his family, whom he loved very much. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Shelton and two sisters, Thelma Layfield and Annie Jean Ferguson.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Sandra Layfield Shelton of Elko; sons: David Terrell Shelton of Perry and Wally Shelton (Cheryl) of Unadilla; grandson: Caleb Michael Shelton; 4 brothers: Hubert Shelton of Perry, Tommy Shelton of Augusta, Curtis Shelton of Atlanta and Joey Shelton of Atlanta and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
