Obituary for Donald Ross Summers

Donald Ross Summers
Perry – Donald Ross Summers, 67, entered into eternal rest, on Saturday, December 17, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Donald was born to the late T.R. Summers Jr. & Mary Ellen Bridges Coody. Donald retired as a Sr. Fab. Electrician from Brown & Williamson Tobacco, Macon Plant. After retirement, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He was a founding member of the Perry Players Little Theatre. He also attended St Patrick Catholic Church of Kathleen.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 44 years, Joanne B. Summers, Perry; his children: Valerie Little (Jason) Perry; Lauren Hickmon (Richard)Thomaston; his grandchildren: Wesley Little, Matthew Hickmon, and Claire Little; his sisters, Rosemary Wright (Wilsie) Hawkinsville; Sandy White (Wendell) Alaska; his nephew, Trent Wright(Cheri) Cairo; his niece, Logan Wright, Hawkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Building Fund at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Kathleen, 2410 GA 127, Kathleen, GA 31047 and Heart of GA Hospice 103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
