It’s been over a month since you left us and I miss you so very much. I love you so much and wish you were still with me. I hope by now you’ve seen Daddy, Stephen and the rest of your family. I know we’ll see each other again but until then I’ll love you and always try to make you proud. .

Momma, I hope you know how much you are loved and missed. I don’t have the words yet to tell you how much I love you and appreciate everything you did for us. I’m trying to be strong because I know you’d want me to but it’s so hard. I’m either reaching for the phone to call you or looking at the clock to see if it’s time for you to call. I’m sure that you’ve been reunited with Daddy, Stephen and the rest of our family. I love you so much and I’m sorry that I can’t say more right now but it hurts to much.

Dear Hicks family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Dorothy. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. May God give you and your family comfort in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they are resurrected. With deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.
