Obituary for James P. "Pete" Seward

Centerville- James “Pete” Seward, 87, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Medical Center – Navicient Health in Macon. There will be a private graveside service at Andersonville National Cemetery where Pete will be laid to rest. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers; please make donations to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Happy Hour, 202 N Davis Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Pete was born on December 15, 1929 in High Point, NC to the late Gray and Janie Clodfelter Seward. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force, where he later retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. Subsequent to his military service he began working civil service at Robins Air Force Base as an electronics technician from which he also retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. Pete enjoyed many activities, such as hunting, woodworking and just being an all around handyman, but his greatest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons: Randy Seward (Polly) of Morris, GA, Danny Seward of Pensacola, FL & Jerry Seward of Haynesville, GA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister: Joan Putman of Kernersville, NC; brother: Bradley Seward of Washington State.
