Fort Valley- Jean Doris Sanborn, 72, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with a vigil service beginning at 6:00pm.
Jean was born on April 7, 1945, in Laconia, New Hampshire to the late John and Doris Carroll Wareing. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education where she had worked for many years as a nutrition specialist. She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Spencer Sanborn.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children: Debbie Bennett (Mitchell) Warner Robins; Scott Sanborn (Reverley), Waynesboro; her eight grandchildren: Mystie, Cory, Ryan, Aaron, Ethan, Noah, Kaylin and Riley; her siblings: John Wareing (Debbie) New Hampshire; Lurana Joslyn, New Hampshire; Carole Morin (Phil) New Hampshire.
