Jo Ann Tucker Sullivan, 79, went home to her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Jo Ann was born in Macon, GA on February 6, 1937 to the late Howard Robert Tucker and Gracie Anderson Tucker. She was preceded in death by three siblings and their spouses, Margaret Hicks(Roman), Robert Tucker (Louise) and Jack Tucker.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jo Ann will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel, with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel.
She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family and was considered the matriarch. She constantly put others before herself and always made sure that the needs of her family were met. Jo Ann was a longtime member of Avondale Baptist Church in Macon.
Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband, Franklin Lee Sullivan, Byron; her three children: Wanda Sullivan, Warner Robins; Richard Sullivan, Macon and Donna Sullivan Perreault(Jason), Birmingham, AL; Seven grandchildren: Tara Butts(Jake), Warner Robins; Shaun Hamilton, Bluffton, SC ; Caleb, Abigail, Samuel, Ethan Sullivan , all of Macon and Justin Perreault, Birmingham, AL; Two great-grandchildren: Adelyn & Amelia Butts, Warner Robins; Three sisters: Jeanette Otto, Oswego, NY; Delores Hester, Marietta, GA ; Joyce Omo, Dublin, CA; Three Brothers: James Tucker(Helen), Macon; Larry Tucker(Linda), Interlachen, FL; Gary Tucker(Linda) , Macon; a host of nieces &nephews and a close family friend: Melanie Day, Bonaire.
