Lynda L.  Popkin (Lee)
Kathleen- Lynda Lee Popkin, 48, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Burpee-Scott Chapel with interment following in Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel.
Lynda was born on August 28, 1968 in Adrian, GA to her beloved parents, Charles McDonald Lee (Patricia) of Gordon and Carol Ann Giles Bates of Byron. Lynda was a 1992 graduate of the University of North Texas, where she received her bachelor’s degree and was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. She was a former employee of Geico Insurance for approximately 15 years but primarily worked as a homemaker and dearly loved caring for her family. In her spare time Lynda could be found curled up reading a suspense novel or watching horror films. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband: Richard “Richy” Popkin, Sr.; daughter: Jordan Lindsay Popkin, Kathleen; son: Richard “Richie” Popkin, Jr., Kathleen; sister: Vickie Lee (Brandon), Macon; brother: Richard David Millsap (Lucy), Los Angeles, CA; mother-in-law: Nancy Popkin, Warner Robins; sisters-in-law: Kristy Lamb (Scott) and Stacy Summers (Chad); nieces: Allie Lee, Sarah Summers, Rylee, Avery & Lauren Lamb; nephew: Matt Summers (Ashley); great nephews: Maddox & Mason Summers.
