LaVonne Stringfellow McLeod
Fort Valley- LaVonne Stringfellow McLeod, 75, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9, 2017. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 4:00p.m. till 5:00p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Fort Valley, GA with funeral services to follow at 5:00p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace Baptist Church, 3151 Peach Parkway, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
LaVonne was born on November 1, 1941 to the late Herman and Lucille Stringfellow in Crestview, FL. She was a tiny lady with a huge heart. She was a spitfire and a prankster and everyone loved being around her! She loved being a mother.
In addition to her parents, Lavonne was preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, William Shane Galloway.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William “Dub” Henderson McLeod; her children: Timothy “Tim” William McLeod, Sr. (Stephanie Diane McLeod) Arab, AL; James “Mike” Michael McLeod (Rhonda Duke McLeod) Trussville, AL; her 4 grandchildren: Amanda Shea Galloway; Timothy William McLeod, Jr.; Jessica Megan McGuire (Bentley); Marah Caitlyn Joiner; her 3 great-grandchildren: Colton Shane, William Owen, & Sawyer Levitt Galloway.
