Obituary for Mary LaVonne McNeil

Mary LaVonne McNeil
Warner Robins- Mary Lavonne “Von” McNeil, 78, went home to her Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Medical Center of Central Georgia Navicient Health. Services celebrating Von’s life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 11:00 am at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to and immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Rehoboth Baptist Association Lake Joy Rd. Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Von was born September 22, 1938 to the late John and Ola Minatre Jones in Lubbock, TX. She was such a caring and giving person who always put others before herself. She never met a stranger and was always looking for the opportunity to serve and help anyone in need. She exemplified grace in that she never held a grudge or held resentment even when others had wronged her. Von loved her country and was so patriotic, that when the national anthem was played or sung, she always stood in respect. She did not believe in throwing things out, rather recycle or donate to places like the Rehoboth Baptist Association. She served and worshipped her Lord at Shirley Hills Baptist Church.
Von leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children: Daniel McNeil (Jill), Warner Robins, Sharon McNeil (Grant), Byron and Drew McNeil (Tera), Centerville; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Please visit www.burpeescottmemorialchapel.com to sign the online guest book and to view the video tribute. Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
