Condolence: I'm truly sorry for your loss. I recently stopped by the Bursar's office and got a chance to speak with Hilda, so I was surprised to hear of her passing. She was really a sweet person. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

Condolence: I worked with Ms. Hilda at Middle Georgia State. If I needed assistance with a student, or just meeting in passing, she was always very kind to me. She made a point to inquire about my two daughters and she'd always tell me to take good care of them! She was a gem and will be missed.

Condolence: I worked with Hilda at Macon State College and then at Middle Georgia State University most of the time she was a member of the staff (until I retired 2/1/16). What a special lady!! And, what a privilege for us as coworkers to be able to benefit from her experience and life travels. Early on, I remember being in awe of her that she had lived and worked most of her adult life in Alaska--she had spunk! And what a great cook!! I've posted a photo of a group from our office have a cooking lesson at Emmy's home. Hilda certainly didn't need cooking lessons--but this was a lesson in fried rice and spring rolls (Emmy's specialties). Hilda demonstrated her cooking skills again and her thoughtfulness when she prepared little pecan tarts for my retirement gathering--simply because she knew I loved them. Thru thick and thin and trials and tribulations that you normally find within a group of working folks, we loved 'Miss Hilda' and will sorely miss her. Gone too soon, but gone to a better place. With love, Carol

Condolence: I worked with Hilda for many years at FAA here in Anchorage. She was a great and kind person who was always willing to share her experiences and provide help to anyone who needed it. She was also an amazing cook who shared some of her favorite recipes in FAA cookbooks that are still enjoyed by many people today. In fact some of those recipes have now become my family favorites! My condolences to the family and all the friends that will miss her.
